Fun, Bragging Rights, and a Prize.

Compete in an hour of Q and A’s on Saturday, November 7 at 7 p.m. Challenge yourself, your family, and your friends on knowledge of Canadian themes.

How it Works

  1. Register by email at trivia@khlions.com. Include your name.
  2. The cost is $10.00 per screen, no matter how many there are on your team. Pay by e-transfer to payments@khlions.com.
  3. You will receive a Zoom invitation ahead of the day of the event.
  4. Enjoy!

All proceeds from this event go directly back to the community.

Lions Club Zoom Trivia Night

We’re inviting you to join the  Kanata-Hazeldean Lions Club for Zoom Trivia.

Our first session will be on Saturday, October 24, at 7pm.

The contest is just a fun event for bragging rights only .The questions are challenging, but not hard. There will be three segments of ten questions each on Canadian history, geography and television.

You can zoom in from anywhere. To register, email trivia@khlions.com and you will receive information on how to pay ( $10 per screen, no matter how many in the group).

All proceeds go to Lions’ support for local community needs.

We hope you will join in for a good cause.

Virtual Wine Tasting Event

A fundraiser for the Kanata Hazeldean Lions Club

December 5, 2020 – 4:00 p.m.
Get your bubble together and enjoy a virtual Wine Tasting.
Just in time for your Christmas celebrations.

How it Works

Register by email at khlcevent2020@outlook.com, include your address and the name of your group.

The cost is $120.00 per group. Once registered, you will get an email with details to make your payment by e-transfer.

You will receive 4 bottles of wine from Jabulani Vineyard and Winery, along with a list of cheeses to pair with each tasting.

You will receive a Zoom invitation for the day of the event.

We will have the owner and vintner of the vineyard explaining the wine and the process to us.

Deadline to Register is November 25, 2020.

COVID-19 Poster and Essay Contests

CALLING YOUTHFUL ARTISTS AND WRITERS

Here is a chance to exercise your creativity while stuck at home.  The Lions Clubs of Multiple District A (Eastern Ontario and a bit of Quebec) are sponsoring both a poster contest and an essay contest on the theme of COVID-19, and there is cash to be won!!

The poster contest is open to people ages 5 – 19 and the essay contest to those ages 11-19.  Entrants must live within Multiple District A.  Please see the attached for details, and you may consult the following link to check whether you live within the District.

2020 Winter Carnival

Celebrate winter and fight the February Blahs by coming to the annual Kanata-Hazeldean Lions Club Winter Carnival at the Dick Brulé Community Centre, 170 Castlefrank Rd in Kanata.

All events are free thanks to our sponsors. However, donations are gratefully accepted and are used to support Lions’ community projects.

Note that

  • the centre (the indoor hall) will be closed to the public from 11:30 AM until noon, to facilitate cleaning after the pancake breakfast and to allow the children’s program to set up.
  • space is limited, and it may not be possible to accommodate everyone for the children’s program.
